DOUBLE BLOODROOT(Sanguinaria canadensis forma multiplex)This is an exotic looking perennial with lobed leaves. It grows about 15 inches tall and produces pure white blooms in the spring. It a double-flower type, reminiscent of a water lily. The blooms are fleeting; as they finish, the leaves unfurl into a pleasing clump. Prefers partial shade. The plant gets it name from the red sap it produces when cut at the stem or rhizome. Plant divisions will be 5-7 rhizomes; fall delivery only for mail orders. |

SOLOMON'S SEAL(Polygonatum multiflorum)Graceful arching stems (approximately 3' tall) bear small white bell-shaped blooms in early spring. It is a lovely plant for the shade, pairing well with other spring bloomers such as columbine or dicentra. Solomon's Seal will colonize into a beautiful clump. Dormant; remove spent foliage in late fall. Plant divisions will be 5 corms; fall delivery only. |
